The Supreme Liad, Vildar, is no easy opponent and magic isn’t the only weapon in his arsenal. Over seven thousand years he has mastered the art of manipulation. Well-versed in the machinations of human avarice and unhindered by conscience, Vildar is able to lure anyone into carrying out his plans. He spares no one in his quest for victory, for he knows that the cost of defeat would be his own life.
Nir Veriel, Lorig’s twin-brother, is a Warrior of great courage and skill. However, he’s also the ultimate example of all that overriding self-confidence can bring. Banished from the Temple for challenging the Goddess’s decision to choose Lorig as Her Yo’rae (Keeper), Nir goes out into the human world filled with a burning hunger for vengeance. They say that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, but Nir’s chosen ally is a friend only to himself. His plan to join Vildar and use him to deliver a merciless payback drives him into a quagmire of troubles. Caught between hammer and anvil, Nir struggles to earn freedom for both himself and his beloved woman. The Heart of the Primary follows Lorig on the long journey from his first battle with a Liad to the wizards’ refuge in the ancient castle of Velen Annir. Throughout, Lorig gathers loyal friends, falls in love and is, in turn, loved. Above all, he goes out of his way to protect the innocent and defenseless whose paths he crosses. But Vildar has one last unpleasant surprise for Lorig who finds himself face to face with the greatest enemy of all The Chaos itself. A war is at hand, a war which will hit all the human nations hard and change the Real World forever.
